Job Description:
- Seeking a Senior Systems / Server Administrator to support and modernize its IT infrastructure as part of an ongoing Legacy Modernization initiative.
- This role will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading a Microsoft-based enterprise environment, including physical and virtual servers, storage systems, backup solutions, security certificates, licensing, and identity management.
- The administrator will work closely with the Information Resources team to ensure system reliability, security, and operational efficiency while supporting both on-premises and cloud-based technologies.
- A key focus of the position is assisting with strategic infrastructure projects, including the migration of on-premises Microsoft Exchange to Microsoft 365 and the analysis, restructuring, and ongoing administration of Active Directory.
- The role also provides support for network-related technologies such as firewalls, SIEM solutions, switches, and wireless infrastructure, while contributing to documentation, user administration, and help desk support.
- The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Windows Server environments, Active Directory, IAM, Microsoft 365 technologies, and enterprise systems administration within a collaborative team environment.
- Minimum of 10 Years of experience supporting Microsoft Operating Systems environments as an IT Systems / Server Administrator.
- Experience in the implementation and support of Active Directory Domains, Dell Storage Solutions, VMware environments, Exchange, M365 environments, backup solutions.
- Experience communicating and providing direct technical support to agency Business units and Stakeholders.
- Extensive experience providing all aspects of configuration and end user support for Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Experience Managing user accounts and network configurations as required to provide services to meet the business and technical requirements.
- Experience in the implementation of required security parameters to meet the requirements of the agency security policies.
- Experience completing assessments to develop strategic recommendations and roadmaps.
- Experience documenting support requirements and procedures.
- Previous experience providing IT desktop support to end users in state public sector.
Salary : $65 - $70
