What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport residents to medical appointments, outings, and special events
- Assist residents with boarding and exiting the van, including wheelchair securement
- Follow schedules and coordinate timely pick-ups and drop-offs
- Observe residents during transport and report concerns to nursing staff
- Complete incident reports and communicate with supervisors as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle (fuel, fluids, basic supplies)
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance and service needs
- Communicate daily with nursing and facility teams
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
- Maintain reliable attendance and work flexible hours, including weekends
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Valid Driver’s License with Class D – Chauffeur Endorsement
- Not more than 2 traffic violations within the last 3 years
- No previous driving while under the influence convictions
- CPR and first aide certification or willingness to accomplish
