Position Summary: The Assistant Administrator supports the Facility Administrator in the overall operation, management, and regulatory compliance of the skilled nursing facility. This role serves as a key operational leader, ensuring high-quality resident care, staff engagement, regulatory readiness, and efficient daily operations. The Assistant Administrator may act on behalf of the Administrator as needed and plays a critical role in driving organizational goals, quality outcomes, and positive resident and employee experiences.

- Operational Leadership – Aligning with federal, state, and local regulations, participate in strategic planning, performance improvement, and quality initiatives while collaborating with department heads in achieving operational, clinical, and financial goals.
- Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management – Promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement, you monitor and implement required updates that adhere to state survey agency requirements, internal policies, and CMS compliance. Assist with survey preparedness, survey management, and plan of correction development.
- Resident Care & Experience – Emphasizing high standards of resident-centered care and service excellence, you collaborate with leadership to ensure clinical quality outcomes and resident satisfaction, serving as the go-to resource for residents and their families.
- Staff Leadership & Engagement – Fostering a culture built on teamwork and effective communications, your active involvement in employee relations through recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention reinforces accountability, performance expectations, corrective actions, and professional development.
- Financial & Administrative Support – Assisting with resource utilization and expense controls, you monitor the budget, support census development and payer mix strategies, and ensure accurate documentation, reporting, administrative processes and best practices are upheld.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to analyze data and support performance improvement initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
