What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Crisis Manager - Oahu LCRS (Weekends) position at CARE Hawaii, Inc?
**Must reside in the state to qualify for position** This member of the residential services team has a responsibility to carry out rehabilitation and support functions, and to assist in treatment and crisis intervention; also provides substance abuse services, education, support, and consultation to residents and families, as needed. The Residential Crisis Manager facilitates the admission and discharge process for the assigned site, in collaboration with the Registered Nurse, Case Manager and/or Crisis Therapist.
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: Must have a Bachelors (BA) degree in one of the behavioral health sciences or a Bachelors (BA) degree in unrelated field with twelve (12) or more credit hours in behavioral health sciences.
- Minimum Field-of-Expertise: 1 year of specialized work experience required
- Certification/Registration: Basic Life Support (renew upon its expiration)
o CPRo First Aido CPIo Physical (Upon hire & annually thereafter)o TB Clearance (2 step upon hire and annually)o Criminal Background Check (Upon hire & annually thereafter)
- Preferred Experience: Work experience with adults with severe mental illness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be a member of the residential treatment team for a maximum of sixteen (16) residents residing at the LCRS.
- Participate in developing, writing, implementing, evaluating and revising overall treatment goals and plans in conjunction with other members of the residential team, the case management team and the resident.
- Participate in comprehensive assessment of psychiatric history, mental status, and diagnosis; physical/dental health; use of drugs or alcohol; education/employment; social development and functioning; activities of daily living; and family structure and relationships.
- Act as a liaison and consult with community agencies, primary case managers and families to maintain coordination in the treatment and recovery process.
- Document client progress and functioning in collaboration with other staff and community providers to maintain a permanent record of the client according to established methods and procedures.
- Participate in, and facilitate, weekly and daily staff organizational meetings and joint recovery planning meetings.
- Participate in providing treatment and substance abuse services, nutritional education, housing placement, or money management skills. Assist in developing management skills, transportation options, and other interventions as stated in the recovery plan.
- Conduct admission and discharge of clients.
- Provide ongoing assessment and response to treatment.
- Provide support, advocacy, and coordination of social, vocational and activities of daily living needs.
- Monitor/assist in the utilization review and authorization process.
- Maintain cleanliness of residence.
- Assist in meal preparation.
