Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (TBI/SCI)
Care First Rehabilitation, a rapidly growing provider of therapy services, is currently seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA)s to join our therapy team.
Job responsibilities will include:
- Direct clients in active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait and functional training activities of daily living including transfer activities and prosthetic training.
- Treat clients to relieve pain, develop or restore function and maintain maximum performance using physical and cognitive behavioral means.
- Must have a strong focus on event planning, and community reintegration facilitated through community outings.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule
Qualifications and Experience:
- Applicants must have an Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and a current license in the State of Michigan.
- Have at least 2 years of experience working with Traumatic Brain Injury & Spinal Cord Injury
- Have experience working in a Sheltered Workshop and programming work activities
- Is creative, can wear multiple hats: along with the COTA License, has a strong Recreational Therapy OR Certified Personal Trainer background

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
