Summary
Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Assistant Clinical Manager will be a "Clinical Manager-in-training" and will eventually oversee an interdisciplinary team of nurses, social workers, spiritual counselors and hospice aides who provide end of life care.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse, currently licensed in Massachusetts in good standing.
- Associate's Degree required; BSN preferred. Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience in a home health, oncology or hospice setting, with previous supervisory experience preferred; or, any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to complete the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to apply and adapt the basic principles of nursing to various situations and to assist with the nursing care of patients according to the interdisciplinary care plan.
- Ability to supervise, guide and develop the skills of professional and non-professional clinical staff.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills with individuals and groups.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and respond to the needs of families and referral sources in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
- Ability to visit patients in their place of residence (home, hospital, nursing home) to provide service, supervise and evaluate clinical staff or assist in an urgent or emergency.
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and in good working order.
