Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and safety.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and improve mental well-being.
- Administer medication reminders and monitor health status, reporting any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals promptly.
- Support clients with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and transportation to appointments or errands.
- Follow care plans meticulously, ensuring all services align with individual needs and preferences.
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, client progress, and any incidents or observations during visits.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive, consistent care delivery.
Experience
- Prior experience in home care or personal caregiving roles is highly valued.
- Knowledge of medical-surgical procedures, geriatrics, post-acute care, outpatient clinics, or sub-acute care environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with Level II trauma center protocols or hospital medicine enhances your ability to handle complex situations.
- Previous involvement in PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), OR (Operating Room), or teaching hospital environments provides valuable clinical insight.
- Substantial background in inpatient or outpatient care settings supports comprehensive understanding of diverse patient needs.
