Some Responsibilities include
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression
- Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software-Eaglesoft
- Verify insurance coverage, process, and handle billing
- Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures with excellent phone etiquette and clerical support
- Maintain accurate medical and dental records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and explanation of treatment plans to patients
- Handle multi-line phone systems efficiently, respond to patient inquiries, and coordinate appointment reminders
- Support office management tasks including filing, data entry (10 key typing), and maintaining organized medical records
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dental or medical office environment with strong front desk skills
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft
- Knowledge of dental terminology, dental coding, and insurance billing processes, including Medicare and Care plans
- Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately and perform insurance claims processing
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and office management software-Eaglesoft
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive patient information following HIPAA guidelines
- Previous clinic or healthcare administrative support experience preferred; office experience is highly valued
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Professional appearance with good organizational skills; experience with multi-line phone systems is advantageous
