Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Infusion Therapy
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse specializing in Infusion Therapy, you will be responsible for administering medications, fluids, and other treatments through intravenous (IV) lines to patients in various healthcare settings. Your expertise in infusion therapy will ensure optimal patient care and comfort during treatment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing patients' needs and developing individualized treatment plans
2. Inserting and managing IV catheters
3. Monitoring patients' vital signs and reaction to treatments
4. Educating patients and their families on infusion therapy procedures and care
5. Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
6. Maintaining accurate and thorough patient records
7. Adhering to all safety protocols and infection control measures
8. Responding to emergencies and providing immediate interventions as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Active RN license in the state of practice
2. Certification in Infusion Nursing (CRNI) preferred
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in infusion therapy
4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
7. Proficiency in using IV pumps and other infusion therapy equipment
8. Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in infusion therapy
