What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Facilitator position at Care Counseling?
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Group Facilitator to lead engaging group therapy sessions and support programs within our behavioral health and mental wellness services. - Facilitate group therapy sessions for Domestic violence/ Child abuse, focused on mental health counseling, addiction recovery, trauma support, and behavioral management using evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis intervention strategies during sessions to ensure participant safety and emotional stability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, clinicians, and probation officers—to coordinate care plans and monitor progress.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including weekly progress notes, progress reports, attendance, and session summaries in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collect data on participant outcomes for continuous quality improvement and research purposes.
- Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols.
- Experience in Domestic Violence, Child abuse, Parenting and Anger management group counseling, is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the capacity to engage diverse populations in individual or group settings.
- Relevant certifications with a minimum of a Bachelors degree in social work, mental health counseling, child development, addiction counseling or related fields are preferred.
