Personal Care Assistant (PCA) – End of Life Care Experience

Position: Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
Location: Ridgefield, CT
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care support including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with ambulation, repositioning, and transfers for comfort and safety
- Support clients and families during end-of-life care with sensitivity and professionalism
- Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients and their loved ones
- Document and communicate changes in client condition to the office or designated family members
- Adhere to care plans and agency protocols to ensure quality of service
Requirements:
- Female applicants only (per client preference)
- Minimum 3 years of prior home care experience required
- Prior end-of-life or hospice care experience strongly preferred
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to Ridgefield, CT
- Excellent communication skills and strong professional boundaries
- Ability to work independently with compassion and reliability
- Must pass a background check and provide professional references
Preferred Qualifications:
- PCA or HHA certification
- Experience collaborating with hospice teams and families
