Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCA) or Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to provide exceptional support and care to the elderly. In this vital role, you will assist residents with daily activities, monitor health status, and promote a safe, respectful environment. Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as eating, toileting, and transferring using proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques
- Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes promptly.
- Engage residents in social activities, facilitate communication, and promote resident rights and dignity
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through routine cleaning tasks and infection control practices
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and transportation to appointments or activities within the community
Experience
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care is highly preferred
- Group home experience or assisted living experience is advantageous
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, or neurodevelopmental disorders enhances your suitability for this roll
- Familiarity with patient monitoring tools such as Hoyer lifts, vital signs measurement devices, and patient transfer methods is beneficial
- Previous home health or long-term care experience demonstrates your ability to provide consistent and compassionate support.
