This role supports safe and efficient patient care by cleaning, decontaminating, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments and equipment.This is a great opportunity for candidates who have prior OR or Sterile Processing experience, as well as candidates who are looking to grow within the sterile processing field. Key ResponsibilitiesClean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and traysPrepare instrument sets, trays, and equipment according to department needsOperate sterilization equipment and follow proper infection control proceduresMaintain accurate documentation related to sterilization and instrument processingEnsure instruments and equipment are processed according to hospital and regulatory standardsSupport operating room and clinical teams by ensuring instruments are available and ready for useFollow department policies, safety guidelines, and quality standardsAssist with department workflow to support timely and accurate instrument turnaround QualificationsPrior Operating Room and/or Sterile Processing experience preferred, but not requiredAbility to work full-time, Monday-FridayAbility to work either second shift or third shiftStrong attention to detail and ability to follow strict processesReliable, team-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced healthcare environmentInterest in building a career in sterile processing or surgical support services Preferred QualificationsPrevious Sterile Processing Department experiencePrevious Operating Room support experienceKnowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization procedures, or infection control standardsCRCST certification preferred, but not required Additional InformationThis position offers a stable Monday-Friday schedule, competitive hourly pay based on experience, and the opportunity to grow within the sterile processing field.
