We are seeking a compassionate, dependable caregiver to provide one-on-one support for an adult male with autism who lives at home. He is nonverbal, enjoys time outdoors, active in the community. He thrives with routine, patience, and a calm reassuring presence.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care, including showering and hygiene support
- Prepare meals and snacks
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Provide companionship and engagement throughout the day
- Accompany and support community outings and activities
- Encourage outdoor activities and recreation
- Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment
Qualifications
- Reliable, patient, and compassionate
- Comfortable providing personal care assistance
- Ability to remain calm and supportive in various situations
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Experience supporting individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is helpful but not required—we are willing to train the right person
