Role Description The Caregiver will provide compassionate, non-medical support to clients in their homes, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility. This full-time, on-site role in Lewisberry, PA includes preparing simple, nutritious meals, offering companionship, engaging clients in conversation and activities, and monitoring overall well-being. The Caregiver will help with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishwashing, and maintaining a safe, clutter-free environment. Additional responsibilities include accompanying clients to appointments or errands as needed, following care plans and company policies, documenting care and observations, and promptly reporting any changes in condition to supervisors. The role requires reliable attendance, professional communication with clients and families, and adherence to all safety and infection-control guidelines.
Qualifications
- Experience providing personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility support).
- Skills in household support, including light housekeeping, meal preparation, and safe client transport or accompaniment to appointments.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with a demonstrated commitment to empathy, patience, and respect for client dignity.
- Ability to follow care plans, document services accurately, and collaborate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members.
- Reliability in maintaining schedules, managing time independently, and adhering to safety and infection-control practices.
- Previous caregiving, home care, or related experience (professional or personal) preferred but not always required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of caregiver, CNA, or home health aide training is a plus.
- Ability to meet state and company requirements, which may include background checks, eligibility to work in the U.S., and any required clearances or health screenings.
- Physical ability to perform caregiving tasks, including lifting, transferring, standing, and walking for extended periods as needed.
