This position is responsible for utilizing internal and external resources to monitor, detect, and mitigate fraud for our clients and account holders. .Responsibilities include identifying fraud trends, mitigating preventative or counter strategies, fulfilling client strategy requests, monitoring reports, and performing other Ad Hoc tasks as needed.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for utilizing internal and external resources to monitor, detect, and mitigate fraud for our clients and account holders. .Responsibilities include identifying fraud trends, mitigating preventative or counter strategies, fulfilling client strategy requests, monitoring reports, and performing other Ad Hoc tasks as needed.
Essential Functions
- Identifies and assesses emerging fraud risks, trends and threats utilizing our internal and external resources via an in-depth analysis of the risk, trend or threat
- Provides specific fraud mitigation recommendations for rule changes to FSP Management which will effectively and efficiently mitigate the emerging fraud risks, trends or threats
- Determines and communicates potential emerging fraud risks, trends and threats effectively and efficiently to internal and external partners.
- Accurately enters and performs dual control entry of all approved rule changes approved by FSP management
- Proactively applies strategies to assigned clients and communicates to peers where feasible when a cross client fraud trend is identified on other clients
- Performs cross-training functions as needed for tasks managed within Fraud Strategy and provides coverage for these tasks as necessary
- Documents client strategy requests in a timely manner
- Reviews and takes action as needed on all monitoring reports that support the overall efforts of the Fraud Strategy Team
- Communicates potential emerging fraud risks, trends and threats to management as well as to clients and Operations where required
- Partners with both FSP Management and other Fraud Strategy team members to enact timely and effective mitigation of these items at a Unit level
- Complies with all oversight and quality controls involved in the strategy entry and dual control verification processes
- Assists management with the monitoring of fraud strategy specific monitoring reports, data files, and other data/metric sources to support Billing/SLA support tasks as needed
- Assists Fraud Prevention by monitors the fraud detection system which is designed to identify fraudulent activity during the unauthorized activity usage as needed.
- Assists in making outbound calls to account holders to confirm unusual or suspicious account activity to effectively mitigate unauthorized use and counsels account holders who are victims of fraudulent activity and conducts inquiries when situations arise, as needed to assist with the fraud prevention process.
- Reviews all aspects of suspicious activity, restricting accounts, calling, sending appropriate correspondence, etc.
- As part of the fraud prevention process, complete accurate and detailed Lost/Stolen reports
- Responsibilities may increase based on the employee’s knowledge and skill set and task complexity may increase
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or related education required
- Two (2) years of experience within Fraud/Disputes or related experience is required
- Experience with First Data Resources (FDR) and/or related platforms preferred
- Requires frequent interaction and timely communication with cross-functional partners and FSP Management
- Excel at creative thinking and problem solving, be self-motivated, confident and ready to work in a fast-paced energetic environment
- Must be able to quickly learn a wide range of risk mitigation tasks, including the oversight components as well as the operational components
- Employee must be dynamic, seek opportunities to take initiative, adjust quickly to change, have a positive attitude and take responsibility for results.
- Ability to accurately recognize similar fraud usage patterns consistently over long periods of time.
- Precision, accuracy and attention to detail is critical in this role
- Familiarity with Windows based computer applications
- Ability to work under pressure and at a rapid pace for long periods of time
- Ability to learn and master complex new tasks following a brief ramp up time
- Effectively and efficiently possess the ability to clearly communicate both verbal and written correspondence with good command of the English language in a manner consistent with essential job functions
