Merrick Bank is an FDIC-insured Utah Industrial Loan Bank. Merrick operates three main business lines: credit cards, recreational lending, and merchant services. Carson Smithfield, LLC provides a variety of post-charge-off debt recovery services, including digital self-service, IVR, live agent, and external agency management. Essential Functions: Technical – deep experience in integrating a strong software development background with a passion for the discipline of Quality Engineering. o Create and maintain automated UI and API tests o Write and execute Test Case to ensure development outputs meet defined specification cases in coordination with Business requirements and Technical Specifications o Review, validate, and document the setting controls for card programs using platforms like Fiserv o Pinpoint and rectify inconsistencies within card program setting controls, ensuring accurate configurations o Document software defects using JIRA bug tracking system o Be able to use Test Case Management tools such as Zephyr o Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes o Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution o Participate in test case reviews and ensure requirements traceability, proper coverage o Perform Exploratory, Functional, Integration, UI, back-end testing, White box/Black box testing. Demonstrate the capacity to investigate and debug complex issues. · Methodology –deep expertise and knowledge in Quality Engineering standards, processes, policies, and procedures. o Demonstrate and evangelize a passion for process and methodology through daily actions o Adhere to and support all established and documented methodology/best practices in alignment with the Release methodologies and processes o Adhere to and support group processes, procedures, and standards to drive and guide a repeatable, reliable delivery of high-quality software products and services o Display a basic understanding of testing methodology and product knowledge in the design of tests · Team Support/Leadership – deep commitment to working in and fostering a highly collaborative, innovative, and high performing product team. o Advise, assist, and mentor QE team members with distributed testing responsibilities o Evangelize, support, and embody Cardworks’s Company Mission, Strategy and Values o Foster a culture of ownership and pride for delivering the highest levels of quality and excellence o Assess solution risk and assist the project team in prioritizing testing efforts Skills & Competencies · Abilities o Strong team player with the ability to lead and collaborate with all levels of the organization o Ability to influence others and motivate with a positive and confident personal style o Possess a drive towards forward progress and delivering results while taking responsibility o Multi-tasker with the ability to set and manage priorities o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high aptitude to learn o Proactively and transparently communicate challenges/successes to leadership o Exhibit and relentlessly demonstrate a high level of attention to detail o Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to help in other areas as priorities shift o Ability to effectively operate with minimal supervision but keeping leadership in the loop · Skills/Competencies o 2-4 years UI Test automation experience (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) o 2-4 years of hands-on working experience building API automation tests o 2-4 years of hands-on experience with programming/scripting, preferably in languages like Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript o 2-4 year’s experience creating XPath queries and functions o Knowledge in API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, and similar. o Basic understanding of RESTful API principles, best practices, and microservices patterns o Demonstrate basic SQL programming skills (queries, joins, etc.) o Knowledgeable in testing methodology, design, execution and attaining product knowledge o Experience with QA techniques including black box, white box, and gray box approaches for smoke, regression, functional, user acceptance and exploratory testing o Experience with the development of use cases, test scenarios and/or test plans o Investigating and debugging complex issues o Experience with Agile testing o Experience using JIRA or another bug tracking tools o Experience using Test Case Management tools such as Zephyr Education or Prior Work Experience · Bachelor’s in computer science (or relevant degree) with 2 years of experience · 2-4 years of experience in software testing · Preferred Experience using: o Credit card processing and payment processing platforms Location: Horsham PA - (Hybrid) Our Employee Value Proposition Competitive Pay, including a Bonus Target or Variable Pay Incentive Program Benefits Package -Medical, Dental, and Vision (plus much more) 401(k) Plan with Company Match Short- & Long-Term Disability Wellness Programs Group Life and AD&D Insurance Paid Vacation, Sick Days and bank Holidays Employee Engagement Activities including Employee Appreciation Day, DEI Employee Resource Groups, Corporate Social Responsibility, Service Recognition We offer a total rewards package comprised of a competitive base rate of pay, variable pay incentive programs based on the role, and a comprehensive benefit suite.  Offered rates of pay are determined based on job-related knowledge, relevant experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
