CDL Class A Driver - Local

Reports To: Operations Manager

As a CDL Class A Truck Driver, you operate a truck and trailer to provide hauling services to transfer stations and landfills. Throughout your day, you are attentive to safety and are sure to report any defects, accidents, or violations. You inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and report preventative maintenance needs to management team. Each day, you are happy to be on the road and not stuck in an office!

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Safely Operate around 150 miles of home.


• Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical and safety items. 


• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules in a safe and timely manner


• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods etc.) as well as with company policies and procedures.


• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.


• Collect and verify delivery instructions.


• Report defects, accidents, or violations 

Shift/Schedule:

• Home Daily


• Monday-Friday


• Additional hours as needed


• Shift is 10-12 Hours

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience


• No more than one moving violation on your MVR within the last 3 years


• CDL Class A
