About the Role
The Social Services Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the delivery of social and healthcare services within the organization. This leadership position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive care programs that address resident needs, promote well-being, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards. The director will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care, manage resources effectively, and foster a supportive environment for both residents and staff. By integrating clinical knowledge with administrative expertise, the role aims to improve resident outcomes and elevate the quality of social services provided. Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the social services department, ensuring high-quality resident care and support services.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to assess resident conditions and create individualized care plans.
- Oversee staff training and development to maintain proficiency in resident care techniques and compliance with health regulations.
- Manage departmental budgets, resources, and reporting to ensure efficient operation and adherence to organizational policies.
- Ensure accurate documentation and use of basic computer systems for resient records and reporting.
- Promote a culture of empathy, respect, and resident-centered care throughout the department.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in social services or healthcare management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of resident care practices.
- Proficiency in basic computer literacy including electronic health records and reporting software.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in healthcare management or social services administration.
- Experience working in long-term care or senior living environments.
