About The Role

The supervisor will coordinate with various departments to accommodate dietary needs. They will also manage staff schedules, training, and performance to foster a productive and compliant team. Ultimately, this role ensures that all dining services contribute positively to the overall resident experience while adhering to regulatory and organizational standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily dining service operations to ensure efficient and high-quality food delivery.
- Manage and train dining services staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and ongoing development.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to accommodate special dietary requirements related to medical conditions.
- Maintain accurate records related to dining services, including inventory, staff attendance, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Indiana certification as a Certified Dietary Manager, and a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a food-service health care setting, preferably long-term care.
- Cooking/Culinary experience is required.
- Must hold Serv-Safe Certification.
- Basic knowledge of dietary needs and food safety regulations.
- Proficiency in records management and documentation practices.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience working within healthcare settings.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
- Additional training in customer service or conflict resolution.
