About the Practice
Cardiovascular Institute of Central Florida (CVI), a proud CVAUSA partner, delivers comprehensive, patient-first cardiac care using the latest advancements in cardiovascular medicine. Our team specializes in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of conditions including coronary artery disease, heart rhythm disorders, hypertension, valve disease, and heart failure.
As our footprint continues to expand, we are looking to add a compassionate and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to support both clinic and hospital-based care in the Tavares area.
What You’ll Do
Outpatient (Clinic) Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care alongside a collaborative team of cardiologists and APPs
- Evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and manage ongoing care
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing and procedures
- Prescribe and adjust medications as appropriate
- Coordinate referrals to specialists when needed
Inpatient (Hospital) Responsibilities:
- Assist with cardiology consults and inpatient rounding
- Perform histories, physical exams, and clinical documentation
- Manage medications and treatment plans
- Support stress testing and other cardiac procedures
- Collaborate closely with physicians and care teams to ensure continuity of care
Schedule & Structure
- Full-time position
- Monday–Friday schedule
- Weekend rounding approximately once per month
- Split between clinic and hospital responsibilities

What We’re Looking For
- Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Active, unrestricted Florida license (or ability to obtain)
- Cardiology experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to patient experience
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to care
