The Executive Director of Cardiology plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations, strategic direction, and administrative functions of a cardiology practice. This individual will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflows, financial performance, staff management, patient satisfaction, and compliance with healthcare regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):
Operational Leadership
· Oversee daily operations of the cardiology practice, ensuring smooth workflow and patient care services.
· Implement operational policies and procedures to optimize practice performance, improve patient outcomes, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
· Facilitate regular communication between physicians, nurses, administrative staff, and external vendors.
· Monitor clinical performance and ensure that healthcare delivery meets the highest standards.
Financial Management
· Develop, implement, and monitor budgets, including revenue cycle management, billing, and collections.
· Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for cost-saving and revenue generation.
· Manage contracts and vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective supply chain and service provision.
· Ensure compliance with reimbursement protocols (Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance).
HR Management
· Supervise hiring, training, and performance management of all clinical and administrative staff.
· Develop and maintain staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all practice operations.
· Promote a positive work environment and facilitate conflict resolution as needed.
· Ensure continuing education and professional development for staff in accordance with practice and regulatory standards.
