Job Duties
- The MA supports patient care delivery by helping Physicians, Nurses, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners. Receives delegation of clinic activities from nurses.
- Prepares patients for the health care visit
- Prepares chart and verifies diagnostic test results are available in the patient’s record prior to the clinic visit.
- Verifies patient information
- Responsible for cleaning and turnover of exam rooms between patients to insure short turnover.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Have extensive working knowledge of common medical names, terms and descriptions.
- Must present good communication, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to adapt to changes in work tasks or environment; adjusting effectively to carry on within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.
