New Patient Onboarding Coordinator

Job Summary
We are a fast-paced, cardiology medical practice committed to patient care. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized New Patient Onboarding Coordinator to support our growing team.

Position Summary

The New Patient Onboarding Coordinator is responsible for accurately setting up new patients in our EMR system and ensuring all required information is verified prior to their visit.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and set up new patient accounts in our EMR system, E-clinicalworks
• Verify and update patient demographics for accuracy
• Perform insurance verification, including eligibility and benefits
• Obtain and verify referrals and authorizations as required
• Ensure all required documentation is completed prior to scheduling or visits

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in:

• Insurance verification
• Referrals and authorizations
• Medical office setting

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to multitask and stay organized,.

High attention to detail and accuracy

Duties

• Contacting new patients , providing clear explanations of the onboarding process
• Entering patient demographics and verifying medical plan information
• Manage patient referral/ authorization using electronic health record (EHR) ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Corresponding with other scheduling staff to notify accounts have been created

Skills

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage empathetically and clearly with diverse patient populations
• Proven experience in customer service or healthcare or related fields
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple onboarding processes simultaneously with attention to detail
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as E-clinicalworks

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
