Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our cardiovascular healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care across various settings, including acute care, outpatient services, and geriatrics. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care.
Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions.
- Provide specialized care in cardiovascular disease detection, evaluation, and treatment.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems - Familiarity with eCW a plus.
- Engage in telehealth consultations to expand access to care for patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for case management and discharge planning.
- Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license with relevant certifications.
- Experience cardiovascular disease and general cardiology
- Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.
