What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Medical Assistant position at Cardiology Associates of Princeton?
Prior experience in a medical office setting is REQUIRED. The right candidate must have demonstrated experience in providing exemplary customer service in other settings. Full time (40 hours per week) are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits program.
The medical receptionist will be expected to perform the following duties:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner(ex.: patient call backs and messages from the Physicians)
- Perform EKGs, In office Lab Test, Assist in setting up cardiac test patients.
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
- Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
- Escort patients to exam rooms, perform vitals, and chart prep for the Physician.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in scheduling cardiac procedures
- Experienced in performing EKG's, INR's, Urinalysis and other testing.
- Must be experienced in prepping for Stress Test, Vital Signs.
- Familiarity with cardiac billing procedures
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Certification from a medical assistant/card tech program.
- Cardiology experience a plus.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule.
