We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Front Desk Patient Services Representative to serve as the first point of contact for our patients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong background in medical administrative support, and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify insurance information, and assist with patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing accurate information and scheduling appointments efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and organized medical records using EHR systems such as Epic, and eClinicalWorks.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and other third-party payers, ensuring proper documentation for billing purposes.
- Assist with appointment scheduling, cancellations, and follow-up communications to optimize clinic flow.
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate patient intake procedures and ensure accurate documentation review for billing and care plans.
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience working in a medical office environment or healthcare setting. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalworks, Epic or Athenahealth is essential. Experience with medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, insurance verification, and medical billing is highly desirable. Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations. Candidates must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette, organizational skills, attention to detail in documentation review, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Schedule:
- Full-time (Monday–Friday, with occasional weekends or extended hours as needed)
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
