Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Automotive Contract Clerk to join our dealership team. This role is responsible for processing vehicle sales contracts, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate is organized, deadline-driven, and familiar with dealership operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process all vehicle sales contracts and lease agreements
- Verify accuracy of documents including pricing, financing, and customer information
- Submit contracts to lenders in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with DMV and legal requirements
- Track funding and follow up on outstanding deals
- Maintain organized deal files (physical and/or digital)
- Communicate with finance managers, sales staff, and lenders
- Resolve contract discrepancies and missing documentation
Qualifications
- Previous automotive dealership experience preferred
- Knowledge of DMV paperwork and automotive financing processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dealership management systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds)
- Ability to handle confidential information
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred)
