What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Control Engineer position at Cardinal?
Lead projects related to process equipment, optimization, system upgrades; develop process specifications and standard operating procedures for production lines throughout the plant maximizing production efficiency and reliability, including material flow, project plans and production capacity using 5S, SMED, Kaizen, and Six Sigma; analyze downtime data and prioritize areas of improvement to determine best practices to eliminate waste and improve output quality; conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for issues surfaced through quality complaints on non-conforming product; support flat glass manufacturing processes in tempering, cutting, mezzanine, IG lines for throughput improvement, yield improvement and determine KPI’s; determine process consistency and capability (Cpk).
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Systems Engineering or Industrial Engineering and 3 years of experience as a logistics engineer or related occupation in a large scale manufacturing environment.
Must possess 2 years of experience in flat glass industry; 3 years of experience using operational excellence principles and tools, including 5S, SMED, Kaizen, Six Sigma.; and 3 years of experience managing engineering projects in quality, inventory and production for large scale manufacturing.
