What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician (Full Time) position at Cardinal?
Cardinal FG, a float glass manufacturer for residential windows in Portage, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician interested in working with a company on the cutting edge of technology who takes great pride in providing an extremely safe and clean environment.
This position’s primary schedule is a 12-hour ROTATING shift, working 3 or 4 shifts/week. This schedule provides every other weekend off, only working half the days of the year.
We are looking for someone with:
- Combination of two years’ education/experience in one of these areas:
- Industrial Electricity
- Welding/Fabrication
- Machine shop experience
- Mechanical experience - related to Industrial environment.
- Industrial Electrical Experience preferred

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with at least two years’ maintenance experience
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Desire to work in a team environment
- Pass a pre-employment physical ability test, background and drug screen
