Mental Health Counselor

Job Description:

As a Mental Health Counselor at CTC, you will play a pivotal role in helping individuals navigate their emotional challenges and develop effective coping strategies. You will wok in a supportive and collaborative environment, offering therapy and counseling services to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' emotional and psychological needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans to address clients' unique concerns.
• Provide individual counseling sessions.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to facilitate emotional growth.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensue comprehensive care.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in mental health counseling.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Active state license in Ohio: LPC, LPCC, LPCC-S, LSW, LISW, OR LISW-S
• Strong communication and active listening skills.
• Empathy and compassion for individuals facing substance use disorder and mental health challenges.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
• Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and interventions.
• Strong ethical standards and adherence to professional codes of conduct.
