Laborer/Operator Job Description
This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating high-speed converting equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Daily Responsibilities:
· Operate and monitor high-speed converting equipment.
· Load materials and prepare machines for production runs.
· Perform quality checks and ensure compliance with product specifications.
· Controls the operation of the machine including adjustments necessary to produce a quality product, which meets company process and product specifications.
· Perform basic equipment repairs and cleaning, production changeovers and routine maintenance.
· Troubleshoot equipment and coordinate maintenance as needed.
· Participate in safety initiatives and adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
· Maintain cleanliness of the work area by handling debris and ensuring proper housekeeping.
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Must have 2 years continuous employment with one employer.
· Prefer previous manufacturing experience but not required.
· Ability to communicate, apply, understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form as well as addressing any issue or problems.
· Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with exposure to temperature extremes, loud noise, and industrial hazards.
· Engage in manual labor (bending, walking, climbing) for an entire 12-hour shift.
· Lift 40 lbs. frequently, 40-50 lbs. occasionally, and over 50 lbs. minimally (team lifting required for heavier loads).
· Wear and comply with all required PPE (eye and ear protection, steel-toed shoes, face masks).
· Work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Overtime may be required.

Shift Schedule:
This position follows a 12-hour rotating schedule with a mix of day and night shifts. Example schedule:
- 4 Days: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- Next 4 Days: OFF
- 4 Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Next 4 Days: OFF
Pay: $17.00 - $22.50 per hour
