Job Description

Cardinal Staffing Services is immediately hiring a Light Pole Base Technician for a large, well-known client in Northwood, OH.

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Precast Light Pole Base Technician. This role is responsible for building precast concrete foundations used for outdoor site lighting, runway and taxiway edge lights, signage, and structural columns. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a hands-on, physical environment and takes pride in producing quality work that meets specifications.

Available shifts: 1st shift (5AM start)- 8 to 10 hr shifts with possible same day overtime- Possible weekend work

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Build precast concrete light pole foundations and related products
• Set up and prepare plastic molds for concrete pouring
• Apply epoxy to molds using hand rollers and paint brushes
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accuracy of work
• Assist in the pouring, forming, and finishing of concrete products
• Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications
• Maintain a organized and safe work environment
• Clean and scrape molds, forms, and floors by the end of each day
• Perform additional duties as assigned
  
  

Requirements And Qualifications:

• Steel-toed work boots and hard hat required
• Must have experience with Overhead Crane operation
• Ability to work in a dirty, hands-on environment
• Experience with concrete and blueprint reading
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently
• Trainable and willing to learn new skills
• Basic math skills, including adding/subtracting fractions
• Able to pass a tape measure test
• Preferred experience in construction, concrete work, and electrical
