Job Description

Material / Kitter – 1st Shift

Position OverviewOur client in Roseville, Mi is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material / Kitter for a 1st shift opportunity. This position is responsible for pulling, staging, and organizing materials to support production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have warehouse or material handling experience, strong organizational skills, and experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull and kit materials according to production orders, work instructions, or pick lists
• Stage materials in designated production areas to support workflow and prevent downtime
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and specifications for accuracy
• Operate forklifts, hi-lo, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely
• Receive, inspect, and stock incoming materials and supplies
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory control processes
• Maintain organized storage areas and properly labeled materials
• Update inventory transactions using ERP or warehouse management systems
• Support shipping and receiving operations as needed
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations
  
  

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of warehouse, material handling, or kitting experience preferred
• Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and system updates
• Ability to read work orders and follow written instructions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods throughout the shift
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or production environments
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Plex
• Inventory control and cycle counting experience
  
  

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift
