What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry position at Cardinal Senior Living LLC?
Oak Leaf Manor North is a personal care facility located in Landisville, PA. We pride ourselves in care, compassion, dignity, and safety of our residents and employees. Position: Laundry
Full Time – 1st shift 6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
The starting pay for this position is $15.00
Job Duties:
- Sort laundry by color, wash, dry and fold clothes per department protocols.
- Provides delivery of all residents’ personal laundry and hangers back to residents’ room, hang clothes in closet or lay out on chair as assigned.
- Ensures all resident clothing is marked appropriately.
- Reporting any maintenance repairs to the housekeeping/laundry supervisor
- Maintains material safety data information in laundry room and is responsible for reading all labels on chemical being used to assure safety to oneself.
- At times, may be required to work independently in work area, and/or assist with housekeeping tasks.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and assists in other departments as needed.
Secondary Functions- Job Duties: The following are secondary to the essential functions listed above:
- Attend and participates in staff meetings, projects, special events, committees, and mandatory training as appropriate.
- Maintains safety and health rules by participating in training along with implementing and following protocols related to OSHA & CDC regulations and Oak Leaf Manor Standards as required.
- Promotes and encourages individualized resident independence while maintaining resident dignity, individuality, confidentiality and following infection control policies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping in a senior living facility preferred
- Must be flexible to work up to every other weekend and every other holiday
