What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brake Press Setup/Operator 2nd Shift position at Cardinal Scale Manufacturing Co?
Summary/Objective
The brake press operator is responsible for handling all machine press operations for the organization.
Essential Functions

- Set-up and operation of brake press and/or other machines to support the operation.
- Movement and positioning of workpieces into machine either manually or with the hoist.
- Selects feed rate, cutting speed, depth of cut, and tooling to be used.
- Verification that finished work is in conformance and may machine plastics or non-metal products on occasion.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
- Performs inspection of machined products, and documents results, and completes and maintains paperwork for parts.
- Assists in other work areas to perform fabrication, lay-up, infiltration, and may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education and Experience
Two (2) years of factory/manufacturing experience with blaster or similar equipment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 1st shift - 7:00am to 3:30pm, or 2nd shift – 3:30pm to midnight, 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
