Cardinal Professional Products is looking for a Warehouse / CDL Driver who is willing to put in the time and effort to learn new skills and adapt to a fast-paced office environment. The ideal candidate with have both professionalism and flexibility.
. Duties may also include upholding site permits, especially for chemicals stored, structuring warehouse/drivers’ files, fleet management of all delivery vehicles, equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks), and preserving a safe working environment throughout the facility.
Warehouse Operations
- Supervise and manage warehouse personnel on a daily basis.
- Schedule employee shifts and coordinate daily delivery routes.
- Troubleshoot operational issues as they arise.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse, both inside and outside the facility.
- Ensure proper storage and placement of all inventory.
- Secure fumigant cylinders and other hazardous materials according to company procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when replenishment is needed.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels, especially for high-demand products.
- Assist with order processing in MAS.
- Manage inventory control and conduct regular inventory audits.
Shipping and Receiving
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments.
- Prepare and process domestic and international shipments.
- Prepare UPS, U.S. Mail, and Young Brothers shipments to the outer islands.
- Load and unload container shipments.
- Schedule hazardous and non-hazardous product deliveries.
- Coordinate shipments with common carriers.
Delivery Responsibilities
- Deliver hazardous and non-hazardous products to customers.
- Ensure all deliveries comply with DOT regulations and Cardinal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Verify and maintain inventory at outer island locations (approximately 4–5 times per year), including Hilo.
Equipment and Fleet Management
- Manage the company's delivery vehicle fleet.
- Oversee maintenance of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Calibrate gas detection equipment.
- Repair miscellaneous customer equipment.
- Assist with SCBA cylinder filling and fit testing after training.
- Maintain warehouse safety standards and ensure compliance with all company policies.
- Maintain warehouse permits, particularly those related to hazardous chemical storage.
- Maintain warehouse and driver documentation and records.
Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and understand written instructions and product labels.
- Ability to use measuring equipment accurately.
- Valid driver's license.
- CDL with Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Endorsement or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire.
- Ability to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
- Experience managing inventory and warehouse operations.
- Ability to safely load and unload shipments.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Physically capable of lifting, moving, and handling warehouse materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Previous warehouse supervisory experience.
- CDL with Hazardous Materials Endorsement.
- Experience with inventory management systems (MAS or similar ERP software).
- Knowledge of DOT and hazardous material regulations.
- Experience with fleet management.
