School Security Officer

Cardinal Point Security Group is adding to a team of Security Officers who will facilitate a safe learning environment and keep students, staff, and faculty safe from violence.

Location: Bethlehem, PA

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday 7:15 AM to 3:15 PM OR 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Schedule includes regular school hours plus after-school and occasional weekend events when required.
• This position follows the school calendar, with 2 months off during the summer.
  
  

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Stands post at assigned location and secondary locations when required
• Continuously patrol school facilities (inside and outside) and grounds to prevent access to restricted areas, theft, or vandalism
• Access control
• Identifies and documents incidents/suspicious activities
• Maintains orderly flow of foot traffic in the hallways
• Reports on maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel
• Identify and report suspicious activity
• Completes electronic daily activity reports and incident reports as required
  
  

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of Security experience working in a school environment, or have experience as a Sworn Police Officer, military, or corrections officer
• High School Diploma or GED
• Complete all required training to become a Certified School Security Professional
• Reliable means of communication (active cell phone with mobile email access)
• Ability to comprehend and utilize the English Language (verbal and written)
• Reliable means of transportation
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• PA Act 235 (non-lethal) Certified
• Valid Driver’s License
