Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Summer Associate to work directly with the President of a single family office managing complex, multi-generational wealth across three households within a five-generation legacy family.
This role is designed for high-performing pre-MBA analysts, MBA students, and individuals with relevant legal, tax, or financial planning backgrounds who are interested in working at the intersection of investing, estate/tax planning, and long-term wealth planning.
The position offers a rare opportunity for hands-on exposure to a single family office platform spanning investment management, estate and tax planning, accounting, and legal/financial administration. The team operates with a high degree of rigor, discretion, and precision, delivering tailored, client-ready work in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
This is a highly immersive role for a candidate who is intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and motivated to take ownership of meaningful projects in a high-performance environment.
What You'll Do
- Analyze and synthesize complex estate plans, including wills, trusts, and generational transfer strategies
- Map and interpret entity structures (e.g., grantor and non-grantor trusts, dynasty trusts, partnerships, LLCs, and corporations) into clear, intuitive frameworks
- Develop comprehensive, client-facing materials, including wealth maps, ownership structures, financial summaries, and investment reporting packages
- Review and enhance investment reporting and performance analysis
- Conduct investment and financial analysis; build models and support strategic projects related to portfolio construction, tax optimization, and long-term wealth planning
- Research markets and investment topics; synthesize manager commentary and macro developments into concise, insightful summaries for family members
- Leverage modern tools to improve research, reporting, and knowledge management workflows
- Support the buildout of a centralized family portal integrating reporting, legal documentation, and planning materials
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in private wealth management, family office, investment advisory, or a related field serving ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients
- Strong grounding in investments, tax, and estate planning concepts
- Demonstrated ability to distill complex financial and legal information into clear, client-friendly deliverables
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Self-starter who thrives in a high-expectation, collaborative environment
