The Mental Health Clinician provides individual and/or group counseling services to students. Provides consultation to staff and families regarding student issues. Provides psycho social evaluations of student/families on referral basis.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List key areas of responsibility, major job duties and key objectives for this position)
•Provides individual counseling services to students on a referral basis, according to need and appropriateness
•Provides group counseling services to students on a referral basis. This may be based upon appropriate residential living units or classroom units
•Meets with families or parents/guardians of students in treatment on an ongoing or intermittent basis as appropriate and necessary. May provide counseling or consultation to families of students.
•Provides evaluations of students referred for counseling or thought to be in need of counseling
•Assists in developing behavior plans for students in treatment
•Provides consultation to staff pertinent to client caseload
•Participates in group consultation process with instructional and residential staff
•Attends appropriate IEP’s, Progress Review, Case Consultation, and bi-weekly Clinical Meeting
•Provides semi-annual written summaries for client caseload according to protocol
•Maintain some scheduling flexibility to include variable evening/weekend hours
•Intervenes physically in behaviorally aggressive situations using CPI techniques
•Upholds the mission and corporate values of St. Coletta and Cardinal Cushing Schools of Massachusetts
•Regular attendance and promptly reporting to work at the beginning of the scheduled shift are essential functions of this position
•Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned
Salary : $70,000 - $88,000
