Duties
- Assist in managing daily clinical operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA and medical documentation standards.
- Supervise and support clinical staff, including therapists, counselors, and case managers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), and motivational interviewing.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions focused on behavioral health issues such as PTSD, addiction, autism spectrum disorders, Alzheimer’s care, pediatrics, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Oversee crisis intervention protocols and manage emergency situations with professionalism and sensitivity, ensuring safety for clients and staff alike.
- Facilitate training sessions on behavioral therapy techniques, medical terminology, EMR systems, data collection, and case management best practices.
- Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness while maintaining strict adherence to confidentiality standards under HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid LCSW license with extensive experience in behavioral health settings.
- Proven supervisory experience leading multidisciplinary teams within mental health or social work environments.
- Strong background in child & family counseling, crisis management, hospital experience, and home & community care settings.
- Expertise in working with diverse populations including individuals with autism, PTSD, Alzheimer’s disease, addiction issues, and developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in applied behavior analysis (ABA), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for medical records management and data collection processes.
- Excellent communication skills combined with leadership ability to motivate staff and engage clients effectively.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to mental health care and social work practices.
