Warehouse Furniture Pulling and Customer Pickup Associate

Do you enjoy working in a fast pace environment while performing physical work? Cardi's Furniture & Mattresses is looking for an energetic, hard-working individual to work in their warehouse Furniture Pulling & Customer Pick-Up Department. This position is key to ensure Cardi's WOW customer satisfaction by ensuring furniture is pulled correctly and customer pick-ups are processed with the highest level of customer service.

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 Hourly

Schedule: Sunday 10a-6:30p, Mon & Tue Off, Wed thru Sat 2pm-10:30pm*

(*indicates that you may stay later frequently due to work load.)

Responsibilities

• Pulls merchandise from inventory for customer orders being picked up by the customer or being delivered to the customers’ homes in an orderly, accurate, timely and safe manner.

• Loading of Furniture and accessories in customer vehicles.

• Scans, picks, pulls and re-wraps and puts away product utilizing proper material handling techniques and equipment to minimize damages.

• Operates manual and mechanical equipment, such as dollies and/or hand trucks, in a safe and efficient manner to move or hoist product to proper area/location.

• Complies with all applicable company health, safety and quality standards and policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

• Commitment to Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses safety policies and procedures.

• Models company image and culture through positive attitude, spirit of cooperation, appearance and respect for company policies and procedures on every aspect of role functions.

• Perform other functions as needed and required

MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no management / supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Safely lift furniture merchandise while elevate on warehouse equipment at heights of 30-40 feet above the ground.
• Lift, move, push and pull furniture up to and in excess of 110 pounds.
• Physically able to be on your feet and move throughout the warehouse over an 8-12 hour work day.
• Ability to work well with others and function in a team environment.
• Excellent listening skills
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Solid reading skills – must be able to read orders/match orders to picking labels.
• Ability to maintain emotional composure in a warehouse setting with customers, peers and management.

  Education/Certification/Licensure:

  High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required. Valid driver’s license required, stock picker certification helpful but not required since will train and certify in house.
