Full-Time Associate Attorney:
Cardenas Law Firm, LLC. We are an immigration law firm with 34 years of experience. We seek a detail-oriented Associate Attorney with strong writing, organizational, computer, and people skills to join our growing team. Our work environment is a “drama-free zone” where we respect each other and work together as a team to help our clients achieve their immigration goals. We strive to make our office a friendly environment as we work to help our clients.
This position requires research skills, drafting, filing of permanent, family, and employment-based immigration processing, and every aspect of immigration removal defense.
Day-to-day duties include:
- Direct client interaction.
- Represent clients before various government agencies (EOIR, ICE, USCIS, CBP, and others).
- Evaluate FOIAs, draft legal memos, and/or prepare forms for partner's review.
- Review work of legal assistants and report to supervising partner.
- Develop a strategy for RFEs for Partner's review.
- Drafting and reviewing legal presentations, letters, forms, and documents for partner/client review/submission to government agencies.
- Ensure client digital/physical files are maintained and organized.
- This is a full-time position.
Position requires:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and must be licensed to practice law in any jurisdiction in the United States.
- A fervent desire to be a part of a team dedicated to the practice of immigration law.
- No minimum experience is required, just a powerful desire to learn.
- Because most of our clients speak Spanish, being bilingual is required.
- Willing to attend hearings out of state from time to time.
