Primary Work Location:
Multisite: Multisite staff work across several program locations throughout Alameda County, providing care and support wherever it is most needed. These sites offer a range of services, including post-hospitalization, medically supported shelter, medical respite care, skilled nursing, and caregiving support.
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician Worker will complete routine maintenance and minor repairs needed at the Timmy's Home program site. Under the direction of Timmy's Home Program Director, the Maintenance Technician Worker will follow the prescribed building maintenance schedule to ensure optimal functioning of the hotel site. In addition, the Maintenance Technician Worker will respond to facilities issues to assess issues that arise. The Maintenance Technician Worker will repair issues within their scope and recommend next an approach for larger repairs.
Qualifications:
Job Duties

Keep all rooms, common facilities, and other areas functional and in good repair

Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.

Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.

Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
-
Install appliances and equipment
-
Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash etc.

Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
-
Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
-
Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
-
Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations
-
May be required to work occasional weekends or after-hours.

Must provide proof of COVID vaccination or willing to be vaccinated

Must be at least 18 years old

At least two years of related experience required

Proven experience as a skilled maintenance person

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

Professionalism, integrity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

Experience working with people experiencing homelessness preferred
