Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Day Services Provider to work with adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in our Horticulture Department/Plant Rentals. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality vocational support and instruction tailored to the unique needs and abilities of our adult learners as well as working to assist customers with purchases. You will develop and implement individualized training programs, evaluate progress, and provide ongoing support to ensure their success in the workplace. As a Day Services Provider, you will play a crucial role in empowering our individuals with IDD to gain valuable skills and achieve their vocational goals.

Qualifications:

• At least 21 years of age, with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass New Mexico Department of Health background checks and meet any specific requirements for working with adults with IDD.
• Able to tolerate hot/cold weather conditions
• Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds over your head.
• Flexibility in working with a diverse population of adult learners with IDD and adapting instruction to meet their individual needs.
• Strong passion for vocational education and empowering individuals with IDD to achieve their vocational goals.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team of professionals.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on promoting independence and self-advocacy.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Must be able to work Monday-Friday; weekends and holidays as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized vocational support based on the abilities and goals of adult learners with IDD.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes engagement, independence, and self-confidence.
• Some hands on personal care of clients can be required in this position.
• Assess individual progress regularly and provide constructive feedback and support to maximize learning outcomes.
• Assist with daily operations with in the Horticulture Department/Plant Rentals
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of individuals progress and services provided.
