What You'll Be Doing:
Under the general direction and supervision of the Active Adult Coordinator, an Active Adult Representative provides direct customer service to our 55 community members, and guests of the Carbon Valley Community and Active Adult's Center. Representatives assist with daily operations and cleanliness of the facility. Daily tasks may include greeting new members, some administrative duties, helping with refreshments and activity/facility set up and break down.

- Provide excellent customer service in a timely manner to internal and external customers, and patrons.
- Collect detailed information from visitors wishing to participate in the community events
- Has thorough knowledge and understanding of District programs and offerings to answer questions and process memberships, classes, program enrollments, facility rentals, etc.
- Must be proficient at communicating internally and externally via email, phone, and in-person to supervisors, co-workers, participants, parents, volunteers, and other community members.
- Attends staff meetings and departmental training
- Conducts building tours and explains the many offerings available for the 55 community members
- Performs essential janitorial functions in the facility including but not limited to mopping floors, vacuuming, taking out trash, cleaning up spills, washing dishes, cleaning windows, sanitizing workout equipment, moving tables and chairs, cleaning up activities, etc.
- Have fundamental computer knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook programs. Other programs used regularly include CivicRec and Paylocity.
- Enforce rules and policies with staff and guests within the building.
- Be a problem solver and a good communicator who can work independently as well as be a part of the team.
- Assist the Coordinator with particular tasks as needed.
- Meet our 55 community with caring, compassion, and a willingness to help where they can.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates over 18 must pass a background check prior to employment.
- Must be available to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, and some holidays based on the needs of the District.
- Must be 16 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR, AED, first aid certification, or the ability to become certified within the first 90 days of employment

Duties are performed with minimal supervision in a variety of settings including indoors and out. Work may include extended periods of time viewing a computer monitor and /or operating a keyboard.
All duties within this position require physical strength and ability. The employee must be able on occasion to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. There may be extended periods working outdoors in extreme temperatures. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision; distance vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear.
