Carbon Felt Inc. (CFI) is seeking a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations. The Maintenance Technician will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial furnaces, ovens, production machinery, and facility equipment to keep our operations running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Work with the engineer team and maintain & repair industrial furnaces, ovens, vacuum systems, pumps, chillers, motors, and other production equipment.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
- Assist with equipment installation, setup, and modifications.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Work closely with Production and Engineering to identify and resolve equipment problems.
- Perform general building and property maintenance, including doors, plumbing, lighting, HVAC, walls, floors, and other facility repairs.
- Maintain the grounds and exterior areas as needed, including basic seasonal maintenance.
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and required PPE.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic testing equipment.
- Experience with furnaces, ovens, CNC machines, or other industrial equipment is a strong plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work around industrial equipment. Must be able to lift and handle tools, equipment, and parts as required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
