What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teaching Assistant (TA) position at Caravel Academy?
Caravel Academy is looking for Middle School teaching assistants. Teaching Assistants/Supervisors follow the academic calendar and work 5.75 hours per day so are considered part-time. Discount towards tuition is available and starting pay is $14 per hour. Opportunities to teach individual classes may also be available.
Essential job responsibilities include the following:
- Grade, copy, inventory, sort, select, file, move, and deliver papers/materials as needed
- Assist and supervise students
- Use equipment ie. copier, paper cutter, laminator, library and school database, computers
- Develop and maintain accurate records
- Assist teacher(s) as needed to complete job responsibilities including those required by special events ie. field day, Santa Shop
- Substitute for other staff as needed
- Criminal background check, tuberculin testing required.
