Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant / Personal Care Worker to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in assisted living facilities. As a Nursing Assistant / Personal Care Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients while assisting with their daily activities and healthcare needs.
Responsibilities
- Assisting patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and meal preparation.
- Housekeeping and Laundry as needed
- Monitoring and recording vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Administering medications as prescribed and ensuring adherence to care plans.
- Supporting patients with mobility and physical exercises to enhance their well-being.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
- Documenting patient progress and reporting any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant is plus but not a mandatory qualification, we offer PCW training onsite.
- Experience in home health care or long-term care settings is an advantage.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring is preferred, but onsite training and certifications is available.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing excellent senior care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
