Sales Associate / Cashier (Part-Time)

Are you friendly, reliable, and passionate about providing excellent customer service? Caramel French Patisserie, a family-owned French bakery located in the heart of downtown Salem, is looking for a part-time Sales Associate/Cashier to join our small, welcoming team.
As the face of our bakery, you’ll create a warm and memorable experience for every customer while helping maintain the quality and atmosphere we’re known for.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly attitude
- Take orders and operate our POS system accurately
- Handle cash and credit card transactions
- Package pastries, desserts, and beverages with care
- Keep displays fully stocked, clean, and attractive
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area
- Answer customer questions about our products and make recommendations
- Work collaboratively with our team to ensure smooth daily operations
What We’re Looking For
- Friendly, positive, and dependable personality
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work weekdays and weekends
- Looking for someone interested in a long-term position (not seasonal)
- Retail or cashier experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Schedule
- Part-time position
- Flexible schedule
- Shifts are typically 5–6 hours
- Two days off each week
